This painting is of a character from a video game, Frisk from Undertale, I used a photo of a girl cosplaying as them. I used a lot of different values of blue to show wrinkles in the fabric of their sweater and their shorts. The dark yellow line is the edge of the carpet along with the designs on it. The colors in the background and the background are all from a character's house in the game, Toriel's hallway. There is a repeating pattern in the carpet that helps move your eyes up because Frisk's legs and feet disrupt the pattern. I picked the yellow hallway to make a contrast with the character's clothing the light yellow against the dark blues, because it draws your eyes to Frisk.
