The painting is of a cherry blossom tree a path pine trees and clouds in the distance. The value of the grass gets darker and the color gets duller as it goes back towards the horizon line. The  value change and duller colors makes it look like there is a lot of space from the tree to the horizon line and the other trees. I went with a circular shape to show the bunches of flowers that are on the tree.  I used different colors in the tree to make some of the flower bunches to look like they are further back in space, the purple ones, and the lighter ones to be closer to the front it makes the tree look fuller. I used the pinks and purples on only the tree to create an emphasis on the cherry blossom tree. The bunches of the blossoms creates a rhythm and a pattern, because they repeat a circular shape for them.
