The Three Cups Drawing we had to draw for class was to see how to use composition, what is in the drawing.  Another is spaces, to show where the objects are in the drawing. Height of the Bases is also used in it to show the distance of the object from you. Also, we had to use correct orientation (Vertical and Horizontal), so that we could make the objects fit on the page and still be close to their actual size. The next art composition we used was tangents, so that the drawing would not look weird because the shapes are slightly touching or just barely touching the edge of the page. The last composition we used was proportion, to show that we know how to size and object so it looks the right size on the paper.

For the 1 point drawing I drew an image of a sunset. The reason I choose to  draw a sunset was that first I took the  picture. The other reason I choose the image is the fact that I have always wanted to draw a sunset. I think I could have made a few darker and lighter places to help show where the light was coming from. Also, I think I could have blended in the background better and neater. The point of this drawing was to help show what we have taken away from the other drawings and put it all together.

For the still life drawing I used darker lines to show that the object is closer. The light lines were to show the object is farther away. The position the objects are in is a triangle so it keeps your attention on the drawing. One of the objects that I chose was a necklace that my friend gave me before she moved. Another object I chose was a mushroom garden decoration I chose it because I like to garden. The last object I chose was a bunny decoration because I like animals.

For the line quality drawing I used thick, light lines for the leaves farthest away from the viewer. The thin, light lines to show the leaves are in front of the thick light lines. The dark, thick lines are to show that the leaves are in front of the thin light lines. The dark, thin lines are to show the lines that are closest to the viewer. I colored in the background to help give the tree the feeling that it is coming off of the screen. The blades of grass were to help show that there is grass in front to the side and behind the tree.

For the self-portrait I had the hair different darknesses and thicknesses so that it looked like the hair had more in it and isn't exact but still looks correct. Another thing I did was shade in the jacket light so it contrasted the dark hair. Also, I made the iris darker on the edges than the inside because, I have brown and dark green on the outer edge of my iris. Then I have blue and a lighter green on the inside of the iris. Next I colored my skin a light color because, I am really pale compared to my hair and pale in general. Last, I think I should have made the lips bigger because they seem small compared to the face.

For the two point perspective + flesh drawing I chose an image of a town square to draw. I chose a town square because I would be good to start off with. Also, it has a lot you can do with it. I also added a cherry blossom tree because I love that type of tree. Also, I wanted to add something in the empty corner. For the flesh part of the drawing I put a person in the little grassy area next to the cherry blossom tree so it would have more going on there.

For the Black and White drawing I drew a water lily. I drew a water lily because I love water lilies. Another reason I drew the water lily is because it had almost an equal amount of black, white, and gray. It also had a balance between colors. I think I could have done better with the white charcoal. Another thing I think I could have done better is the light and how it hit the water lily.
